Lost & Found: Frank has several gloves, cleats, and even
sunglasses that have been left after games. Want to find your stuff? Call
Frank at 835-1846. Anything left at the end of the year will be given to
Gluckstein to sell at his garage sale. :) |

The league is getting phone calls from neighbors of some of the ball
parks, particularly Briarhurst & Clearfield. The complaints have to do
with excessive beverage containers (cans and bottles) being left in
the bench areas by our teams. Please make sure the area is cleaned up when
your team leaves the park. If the residents take this issue to the town or
the town recreation board, we could lose the privilege of using these
parks. Please clean up after your team. |

Due to the
death of a softball player at a game in Rochester this past week,
we want to take a moment to remind everyone of our policy about fighting
during or after games in our league. There is to be
ABSOLUTELY NO FIGHTING before, during, or after games.
ANY player(s) caught fighting will receive a
LIFETIME
BAN from the Amherst Softball League. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Furthermore, umpires have been instructed to give one warning to any
players who are verbally arguing with other players. After that one
warning, if arguing continues, said player(s) will be ejected from the
game. |

There will be NO GAMES from
Thursday, July 3rd through Sunday, July 6th due to the
Independence Day Weekend. Games will resume on Monday, July 7th. |

As a reminder there are to be NO METAL SPIKES
used in ANY Amherst Softball games - mens or co-ed. Any offending
player will be ejected from the game. |

As soon as Frank calls me with the rain out information, I'll send a
text message out to the group... usually around 5pm. |
